Actor Vidyut Jammwal's new film "Commando" is high on action, and promises to change the landscape of the genre in films.
"Vidyut's 'Commando' is touted to
change the action landscape in India with sequences that showcase
never-seen-before action, focused on hand to hand contact-based combat,
free runs and depth jumps, mid-air splits and somersaults,
flip-punches and impact attacks, all done without any body doubles or
cables by our very our hot rod," said an insider.
Interestingly, Hollywood action star
Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1985 film was also titled "Commando", where he
played a special force agent. That film too changed the way action
genre was seen at the time.
"Vidyut's character is that of a
special forces agent which was also what was essayed by Arnold in the
1985 Hollywood hit, which showcased action that was extremely hardcore,
yet (it was a) natural and true-to-life portrayal," the insider added.
