Special 26 Box office collections

Special 26 collected around Rs 5.75 crores (net) from the 1575 screens in which it released while ABCD followed close at Rs 5 crores (net) through 1000 screens it was released in.




The multi-starrer film directed by Neeraj Pandey of "A Wednesday" fame was released across 1750 screens in India. The movie, based on a real life story of a group of con artists, was expected to witness a dull start but positive reviews, pre-release buzz and the star cast helped the movie to pick up well at theaters.

The film collected approximately ₹ 7 crore in India on the opening day.

"INDIA: #Special26 Fri *early estimates* ₹7 cr [1750 screens]. Picked up in the evening shows," trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

The morning shows had received dull response, but the movie picked up later in the evening at multiplexes in the key market. The business was slightly low at single screens.
