It is directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.The film is now in pre-production stage. Filming of Kick will start in end of 2012 or early 2013 after the commencement of Dabangg 2 shooting. It is the remake of 2009 Telugu blockbuster Kick which stars Ravi Teja (Vikramarkudu fame) and Ileana D'Cruz (Barfi fame). The film right was bought in 2009 by the producer. The film was suppose to be directed by Shirish Kunder but he opted out after the debacle of his Second Directorial Joker and the producer Sajid Nadiadwala replaced him. This will be his first directing venture.
