Minuses: Huma is irritating, inconsistent direction, below average music, bad editing, boring 2nd half

Verdict: Watch it for interesting plot and of course Emraan Hashmi
Detail Analysis: Emraan Hashmi has given few hits which belong to horror genre. His last hit "Raaz 3" was typical Vikram Bhatt flick and now he is back with more concept oriented and edgy horror flick but whether this darling of masses will have another hit, let's have a look!
Film tells the story of a magician Bobo played by Emraan Hashmi. How his childhood memories and present circumstances coupled with his profession entangled form the crux of the story. Plot is interesting and so is the screenplay in first half. But pathetic and confusing writing in later part of 2nd half ruins the good work.
In terms of performances, Emraan is improving with every film and looks confident to carry the film on his shoulders. He is a hero for masses and they will love him this time around too. Konkana Sen Sharma is fab actress and she proves that with such a complicated performance. Kalki is decent but she got worst written role out of all. Huma needs to go back home town and settle after her 3rd back to back bad performance among good cast (GOW & LSTCK). Supporting cast does fair job.
Songs are big minus here unlike most of the Hashmi film as Vishal - Gulzar combo fail to provide any chartbuster. Only "Yaaram" works to an extent. Cinematography is so tricky that audience start struggling to keep up with darkness. Editing is pathetic as 2nd half goes on and on and required at least 10 minutes of editing.
Director Kannan Iyer tries to offer something different but he is the biggest culprit. He tries so hard that film breaks down completely in 2nd half. There is nothing natural and easy about the film as everything looks forced and manipulative.
Overall film is watchable only because of Emraan Hashmi and Konkana. Emraan fans might ensure a mighty start at box office but this mix bag will find it tough to go far at box office after that. Film is a victim of confuse minds working behind it, its neither massy nor a masterpiece, a good plot went begging!
Go for this only if you like something different and experimental!
